Nov. 25 – Eataly and the Italian American Committee on Education (IACE) are launching an initiative within the EXPO Milan 2015 “Short Food Movie” program on “Feed Your Mind, Film Your Planet.” “Short Food Movie: The Oscars at Eataly” invites IACE students to submit a video presenting their perspective on nutrition, the importance of a healthy diet, the role of the territory, the social necessity of a worldwide availability of healthy products and the creation of sustainable and fair development. Chef Lidia Bastianich, author, television personality and Eataly partner, will head the committee in charge of selecting the three best films. The winners, to be announced in May 2015, will receive either a dinner for four people at Eataly’s fine-dining restaurant, Manzo; a tasting tour of Eataly led by a brand ambassador for four people; or an Eataly gift box, filled with delicious high-quality products directly imported from Italy. Students will also be invited to the “The Oscars at Eataly” screening of the top three short food movies, followed by an awards ceremony. EXPO will prepare an enormous video installation with all the submitted short food movies, which will be seen by millions of people across the world.
