Dakar – Giving new hope of life to Senegalese children born with congenital heart diseases is possible, thanks to the creation of a Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the Fann Hospital of Dakar: this is the new project promoted by the Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo, sponsored by the pharmaceutical group Daiichi Sankyo. “It’s an ambitious project, but in June we were able to kick off our activities,” explained Alessandro Frigiola, Head Physician of Cardiac Surgery at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Pavia and President of the Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo.
