Istanbul – Bari is the 10th Italian destination of Turkish Airlines, which will open the Bari-Istanbul route in April. The Turkish flag carrier said it was “thrilled to be able to land in Puglia, a region rich in culture, history, natural beauty, food and wine.” Part of the overall agreement on the new Turkish Airlines flight is also a communication campaign in partnership with Pugliapromozione for tourism promotion. Together, they developed a launch program that provides for: press and educational tours in Puglia beginning in February, an event in Istanbul in May to promote tourism with Puglia’s operators, and, finally, a communication campaign. The Regional Councilor and the Director General of Pugliapromozione were satisfied: “the connection with a new international hub opens up new scenarios for Puglia in terms of tourism development.” (9Colonne)
