Miami – Undersecretary Mario Giro, accompanied by the Consul General of Italy in Miami, Adolfo Barattolo, visited yesterday the Dade Correctional Institution to meet with Enrico “Chico” Forti, who was arrested and sentenced to life in Florida in 1998, though he always declared himself innocent. The Undersecretary updated Forti on the measures taken by Foreign Affairs Minister Gentiloni with Secretary of State Kerry, and reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to reopen the case with the competent US authorities.
