Dec. 26 – “Harpscapes” is a new project by Italian-Swiss harpist Raoul Moretti. The concert with electric harp and videos will be held on January 12 (7.30pm) at the Italian Cultural Institute in Santiago, Chile, thanks to the IIC and the Italian Embassy. The work stems from the profound research on the pure sound of Moretti’s harp, which wisely mixes live electronics by Massimo Colombo. The result is a highly innovative sound in the world of harp and has already been presented in important harp festivals in Italy, Chile, Mexico and Brazil, after premiering at the World Harp Congress in 2014 in Sydney. The project involves Olo Creative Farm video artists, who bring to life Moretti’s compositions thanks to visuals that interact live during the concert. In July, Moretti’s record work was distributed by Prelude Music Label, with contributions by Beppe Dettori (Tazenda), Fabrizio Palombo Modonese (Larsen), Max Brigante (Radio105), Claudio Milano (Nichelodeon), Manuel Rossi Cabizza (Piero Marras), and Michele Nuè Rovelli.
