Mogadishu – Since the beginning of the by al-Shabaab attack on the headquarters of the African Union contingent in Somalia (AMISOM) in Mogadishu, the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni has been closely monitoring the situation with the Crisis Unit. The Unit was able to verify the location and safety situation of six Italians – including one of the employees of the Embassy of Italy. The Unit is coordinating with the COI to monitor the situation.
