Dhaka – Following the approval of the Government of Bangladesh, the Italian Foreign Ministry confirmed the decision of the Council of Ministers, and announced that Mario Palma is the new Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh. Mario Palma was born in Montenero di Bisaccia (Campobasso) in 1955. After earning his degree in Political Science in 1981 from the University of Florence, in 1985 Palma entered the diplomatic service and began his professional career at the Foreign Ministry within the Directorate General Emigration and Social Affairs.
