Berlin – It was a great success for the prickly pear, Etna’s PDO cherry, and the PGI red orange of Sicily in Berlin, at Fruit Logistica. The international fair of the fruit sector came to an end on February 6. Italy participated with over 450 exhibitors and regional groups, including that of the Sicilian Region. For Sicily, the Consortium Euroagrumi OP from Biancavilla and the Consortium for the protection of the Etna Giarre Cherry represented the excellence of the land of Etna, especially the Etna PDO prickly pear, cherry and red orange, the latter of which convinced operators from around the world for its particular characteristics. The Etna prickly pear and cherry aroused the curiosity of many operators in the sector thanks to a 3D technology used for their presentation. (9Colonne)
