Oslo – The website of the Embassy of Italy in Oslo confirms the creaton of a cultural route designed and created by Ambassador Giorgio Novello, entitled “Small pieces of Italy in Oslo in the year of the Expo”. “In 2015 – explains the website – the Universal Exhibition of Milan will bring to the city twenty million visitors, several of which will come from Scandinavia and Norway. To offer these guests a ‘preview’ of our country, the itinerary presents twenty units to tell of the varied Italian presence in the Norwegian capital: painters, sculptors, architects, writers, designers, Arctic explorers, engineers, philanthropists and gastronomes.” The itinerary includes works by Renaissance artists (such as Titian, El Greco, Andrea della Robbia, Giambologna) and modern or contemporary artists (including Renzo Piano, Enzo Cucchi, Monica Bonvicini, Ettore Sottsass, Arrigo Minerbi, and Gino Scarpa).
