London – Exports of Italian beer soar, with a 13% increase in quantity for 2014 compared to 2013. More than half of the shipments go to the UK, where pubs have begun offering Italian craft products. The data was released by a Coldiretti analysis on ISTAT data on the first ten months of 2014. The occasion is the “Beer Attraction International Craft Breweries Show”, currently held in Rimini Fiera. Exports – underlines Coldiretti – are also supported by the production boom of crafted Italian beer, with more than 600 microbreweries operating in 2014. Ten years ago, only 30 had been surveyed.
