Melbourne – Italian kiwifruits will soon be on sale in Australia thanks to an agreement between the Italian company Kiwiny Verde from Giavera del Montello, Treviso, and the Melbourne-based Frutti Group. The agreement was made possible by the experience gained in three generations of the Melbourne-based Frutti Group, led by Antonio Di Pietro, who is also president of Melbourne’s Victory FC. The trade agreement between the Italian and Australian companies was founded with the aim of making the most of the seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres. “This agreement demonstrates that Australia can be an important market for Italian companies,” commented Marco Maria Cerbo, Consul General in Melbourne, “and institutions can play a key role in the creation of commercial channels.” (9Colonne)
