Prague – The third day of the European Indoor Championships in Prague gives Italy cause for celebration, with two new medals, after Saturday’s silver to Alessia Trost. Silvano Chesani wins the silver in the high jump, reaching in his second attempt the 2.31 mark, the same one that gave the Russian Daniyil Tsyplakov the gold medal. In the same category, Gianmarco Tamberi reached seventh place. The bronze medal in the 1500 meters was awarded to the 20 year-old Federica Del Buono, with a time of 4: 11.61 (the Gold went to the Dutch Hassan, in 4: 9:04). Fourth place in the 60m was awarded to Michael Tumi, with a 6.61 that separated him from the podium by only one cent. Previously, the competition had eliminated Audrey Alloh, in the semifinals of the women’s 60m (7.24, six cents less than the previous limit), and Fabio Cerutti (6.67) and Delmas Obou (6.68) in the semifinals of the men’s 60m.
