Mar. 11 – The Munich Jazzclub Unterfahrt is collaborating with the Italian Cultural Institute of the city to organize a concert starring Rosario Giuliani and Enrico Pieranunzi. On Saturday, March 21 (at 9pm), the two jazz musicians, respectively on saxophone and piano, will take the stage for an evening on “Duke’s Dreams”, in which the two will pay tribute to Duke Ellington, one of the most creative and productive African American composers of the 20th century, with compositions from his vast repertoire. “Their program – explains the presentation of the Italian Cultural Institute – is a tribute to a musician of monumental grandeur, whose incredible artistic legacy deserves to be remembered, lived and continually rediscovered.” (Red)
