Mar. 17 – ProWein ends today in Düsseldorf. The world’s leading trade fair for the sector of wines and spirits is an event very much appreciated by the international wine sector and the numbers prove it: 5,500 exhibitors from 50 countries participated in the three-day fair. Eos – Alto Adige’s Export Organization by the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano – organized the participation of 36 wine producers from Alto Adige in a collective stand of 350 square meters. The international audience thus learnt of the Alto Adige offer in a structured way, tasting and appreciating wines from from Oltradige, Bassa Atesina, Bolzano, the Isarco Valley, Merano, and Val d’Adige. “The EOS collective stand allows us to establish numerous contacts with potential international business partners. This is why our presence at the fair is very important,” commented Oscar Lorandi, sales manager at the Cornaiano Winery. But EOS doesn’t just offer a “showcase,” it also includes a rich support program that includes themed tastings (free or guided) with sommelier Hendrik Thoma. On Sunday, Pinot Blanc, in all its varieties, was the focus of a dedicated presentation. Yesterday, all eyes were on Cuvée, assemblages of South Tyrolean wines; and today, the audience will discover Schiava and Lagrein, typical South Tyrolean native vines.
