Mar. 23 – Two Italian food excellences made it into the London temple of luxury: Harrods. The windows facing Hans Crescent pay homage to Parma Ham and Parmigiano Reggiano with an exhibition entitled “Stealing Beauty.” Until March 28, ham and Parmesan forms will remain on display in the heart of London to deliver a message, summarized in the irreplaceable value of territories, local traditions and craftsmanship. These are key elements behind the characteristics of these inimitable PDOs. The windows are decorated in such a way that an eagle – considered the most beautiful creature in the animal world – appears to be stealing the products on display, which feature the aforementioned Italian ham and cheese as well as select Spanish wines. On the fifth floor of Harrods, which takes over 7 floors and 93,000 square meters, there is also a photo exhibition of Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano, two products chosen for their cultural and aesthetic value. To highlight all the key elements of these foods, Harrods has organized a dedicated tasting in the Food Hall, where customers will be able to taste freshly sliced Parma ham and Parmesan cheese, and learn more about the products and their quality.
