Valletta – President Talal El Makdessi was in Malta yesterday to present to institutions and the press the 22nd Annual Copeam Conference organized in collaboration with PBS. The president was joined on stage by Copeam Secretary General (Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean) Pier Luigi Malesani, and the president of the Maltese PBS, Tonio Portuguesa. The event will run until March 28 on the theme “Migration of peoples in the Mediterranean: the role of the media.” 200 foreign participants are expected to join from: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Côte d’Ivoire, Croatia, Egypt, France, Germany, Jordan, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine, the United Kingdom, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Romania, Serbia, Syria, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Turkey.
