Mexico City – Eni has started production in the Hadrian South gas field, located in the United States – in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, about 390 miles south of the Louisiana coast. Hadrian South, about 2,300 meters deep, was developed through two subsea wells connected to the nearby production platform of the Lucius field, operated by Anadarko, about 6 km away. Production is estimated at 10 million cubic meters of gas and 2,250 barrels of liquid hydrocarbons per day, for a total of about 52,000 barrels of oil equivalent. In the US, Eni holds interests in 200 concessions in the Gulf of Mexico and 530 concessions in unconventional onshore areas (shale gas and shale oil) in Texas. (9colonne)
