Mar. 31 – “Costanzo Rovati. Un percorso nella materia” is the new exhibition of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague dedicated to the Milan artist who experiments with matter, from stone, marble, wood, ceramics, and bronze to plastic, nylon, and industrial waste. Handle, waste and reuse are probably the key words of the exhibition and poetics behind Rovati’s art, whose favorite themes are derived from the reflections on the origins of things, feelings, emotions. HIs works are presented as the quintessential fusion of primary elements: air, water, fire, and earth, which represent their real essence but are also a metaphor of thought and action.
