Vatican City – The Secretary for Relations with States, Paul Richard Gallagher, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pier Carlo Padoan, today signed a convention on tax matters between the Holy See and Italy. The reforms introduced since 2010 and the creation of Holy See institutions with specific expertise in economic and financial matters now favor full administrative cooperation on tax matters. Given the particular nature of their bilateral relations, Italy is the first country with which the Holy See signs an agreement governing the exchange of information. (9Colonne)
