Beijing – “Maraviglioso Boccaccio” by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani will be the opening film of the Festival of Beijing. This was announced by Marco Mueller, head of the international official selection: “The Festival of Beijing is offering this year, for the first time, an Official Selection entirely composed of titles in world or international premieres. I am particularly happy that an Italian movie, the splendid “Maraviglioso Boccaccio” by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, will open this edition.” After this international premiere with the opening of April 16, the film will be released in China. The Taviani brothers, always appreciated in the world, will be also at the Tribeca Film Festival where “Maraviglioso Boccaccio” will be premiered in the USA with a gala event on April 20th.
