(Apr. 7) – First Zurich on April 10, then Darmstadt in Germany, Bregenz in Austria and other gigs up to May 6, when they will make a stop in Paris. The Canzoniere Greganico Salentino, Italian group that is gathering success both from critics and audience, continues its European tour. Now their new album, entitled “Quaranta” (Forty), is out. It celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the group, born in 1975 by founder Daniele Durante, and marks the third work of a new course started in 2007 by his son Mauro, now thirty years old, who has since taken over the reins of the group to give a new direction and a new life. “Quaranta” is produced by Ian Brennan (Bill Frisell, Jovanotti, Flea, Lucinda Williams), who won a Grammy award in 2012 for the album “Tassili” by Malians Tinariwen and, as always happens to the works of the Canzoniere, sees participation of great guests: pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, French singer Piers Faccini, the Fanfara Tirana, bassist Valerio Combass and Erri De Luca.
