(Apr. 7 apr) Piero Manzoni (1933-1963) has never been protagonist of an exhibition show in South America. This gap has been filled today at the Modern Art Museum of San Paolo, with an exhibition that will close on 21 June. The exhibition, developed by Paulo Venancio Filho and produced in collaboration with the Fondazione Manzoni in Milan, presents a selection of the best known works of the Milanese artist, who focuses on his last years, from 1957 t o 1963 – the most creative – when he died prematurely at the age of 29 to a heart attack. According to a ranking of Artprice, in 2014 Manzoni is in third place with regard to the prices of the Italian artists in Brazil, preceded only by Modigliani and Lucio Fontana. (Red)
