Singapore – Police chief Alessandro Pansa is in Singapore today with the Italian delegation to attend the inauguration of the Igci – INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation, a research and contrast center against transnational criminal activities, and the search for fugitives and missing persons. The new Singapore center joins those already operational in Lyon, Interpol headquarters, and Buenos Aires, providing support to the Global 190 member countries of Interpol and setting the stage for a concrete World Wide Security Network. The Italian mission to Singapore also serves to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from many other countries on strategic issues for the Italian Police. (9Colonne)
