Naqoura – French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian visited the military of the French contingent part of UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) under the command of Major General Luciano Portolano, head of mission and commander of the UN force in southern Lebanon. During the meeting, General Portolano expressed his satisfaction with the work of the French peacekeepers, who demonstrated the French commitment to achieve the objectives contained in the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 mandate.
