Ashgabat – The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that Minister Maurizio Martina is on an institutional visit to Turkmenistan. The mission will see the Italian minister involved in a series of meetings with local institutions, as well as the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. Martina will then meet the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan competent for trade, Taganov, the Deputy Prime Minister competent for agriculture, Yazmuradov, and the Minister of Agriculture, Charlyev. The visit wants to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries. Martina will is accompanied by a delegation of institutional representatives for food exports, some manufacturers and representatives of associations, cooperatives, associations and federations of Italian agribusiness operators.
