May 6 – ” Italian and Egyptian Caricatures compared” is an exhibition that will be hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, whose inauguration is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at 7pm. The event, organized by the Institute in collaboration with the Egyptian Society of Caricature and edited by Giornata Ricci Alunni, will see the participation of artists from both countries in the name of dialogue and cultural exchange. The exhibition will give international visibility to the Italian and Egyptian artists on display, and will have resonance in Cairo and in the local media. The Italian Cultural Institute was founded in Cairo in 1950. The head office is located in the residential district of Zamalek and features a rich library with a reading room open for consultation; a theater room that can accommodate about 150 people for concerts, lectures, film screenings and various performances.
