Havana – “Tourism is a tremendous economic lever for the creation of wealth and employment, as well as an extraordinary opportunity to understand different cultures and a vehicle of peace among peoples. It’s no coincidence that this government has placed Tourism, along with Culture, at the top of its political agenda, taking advantage of the extraordinary opportunity of worldwide exposure offered by Expo 2015.” With these words, the Undersecretary to Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Francesca Barracciu, inaugurated yesterday in Cayo Coco, the International Exhibition of Tourism, for which Italy serves as country of honor. For the occasion, the Undersecretary also signed a memorandum of cultural agreement between Italy and Cuba, loaning some sketches by the Master Angelo Zanelli to the Cuban government. (9Colonne)
