La Plata – The bridges between Italy and the rest of the world are built on the roots, culture, and history of our territory, as well as its promotion. This is why as part of the Year of Italy in Latin America, on Oct. 7-8 there will be the first edition of the Italian Song Festival in Argentina. Scheduled in La Plata, at the Teatro Coliseo Podesta, the event’s partners include the Italian Embassy, the Consulate General, the Municipality of La Plata, and the Dante Alighieri Society, while Rai will cover the event. The festival was presented today at the Chamber of Deputies by Claudio Belardinelli, who is pursuing this initiative in various parts of the world. Belardinelli also suggested the project to the coordinator of the Italy-Argentina production, tourist and cultural corridor, Nicolas Moretti. The latter is now in charge of the event’s organization in Argentina. (9colonne)
