June 5 – Art and literature take the stage of the Italian Cultural Institute of Hamburg on June 12, with a one-day exhibition by painter Isabella Staino: simultaneously, editor Riccardo Greco (Vittoria Iguazu Editora) will present Antonio Tabucchi’s “Isabella e l’ombra”, published after the writer’s death. Isabella doesn’t live only in the colors and pages of Tabucchi’s short story, she actually exists: her name is Isabella Staino, a girl who Tabucchi knew for a long time and that really became a painter. Ten years ago, Isabella agreed to take part in the game of references, always present in the works of the Tuscan author. From Paris, Tabucchi called Isabella and dictated a story, in more episodes, he had thought of while thinking of her. The painter then translated the scenes of the story into images. The Vittoria Iguazu Editora then published Tabucchi’s literary gem, full of beautiful color images by Isabella Staino.
