June 17 – Piquadro continues with its international openings and, after the opening of its first flagship store in China, the Bologna brand landed in Malaysia, the Suria Shopping Center, inside the huge complex of the Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The new store operated by the Malaysian distributor has an area of 53 square meters with interiors inspired by Karim Azzabi, responsible for the design of all Piquadro stores as well as the futuristic headquarters in the province of Bologna. “The opening of our first store in Malaysia is both a great pleasure and a great challenge,” commented Marco Palmieri, President and CEO. “The extraordinary location in which we brought our brand demonstrates the effectiveness of our internationalization strategy, but we are well aware of the more efforts that still need to be done to consolidate our presence and perform well.”
