June 17 – Everything is ready for the reopening of the Berne office of the Dante Alighieri Society, which is further strengthening its network in Switzerland. The committee, which ratified the office’s reconstitution in a meeting held on May 1, elected as president Dr. Anna Pompei Rüdeberg. “The partnership – explains a statement released by the Society – was reconstituted thanks to the efforts of the Italian Ambassador in Bern, Cosimo Risi, who aimed within his mandate to promote Italian language and culture in the Swiss territory”. The office will start its operations on June 22 with an opening night in the name of Italian language and culture and a meeting with writer Maurizio de Giovanni. Produced in cooperation with the Italian Language and Literature Institute of the University of Bern, the event is entitled “All of Naples’ colors.” For the occasion, the inauguration session will be presented and moderated by Antonio Ereditato, Silvia Natale and Letizia Stocker. It will also see the participation of Neapolitan writer Maurizio de Giovanni, author of famous novels and plays translated all over the world, and interpreted by Alessandro Gassman and Toni Servillo.
