Beirut – The day after Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, the Division General Luciano Portolano – Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL – meets in Beirut the Vice President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli. The latter, in renewing the European Parliament’s attention to this sensitive region, thanked General Portolano for the service of the men and women serving in UNIFIL. Sassoli also expressed the hope of soon identifying new forms of cooperation with EU institutions. (9colonne)
