July 9, 2015 – More than two months have passed since the earthquake of magnitude 7.9 that struck Nepal on April 25, counting 8,700 dead, 20,000 injured, 8 million people affected in 39 districts, more than 2.8 million people in need of humanitarian assistance, 500,000 collapsed houses, 285,000 damaged ones, and 36,000 destroyed classrooms. Providing shelter remains a priority in light of the upcoming monsoon season. And Verona has built the ideal bridge thanks to Caritas, which collected over €244.000 in donations from the parishes, communities, and individuals who wanted to show their solidarity with the people of Nepal.
