Doha – Finmeccanica-Selex ES will provide the Armed Forces of Qatar with a system to monitor and protect its air space. The contract, valued at several hundred million euros, was signed recently in Doha, in the presence of the Italian Minister of Defense, Roberta Pinotti, the Defense Minister of Qatar, Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, and of Managing Director and CEO of Finmeccanica, Mauro Moretti. “We are proud of this significant success – said Moretti – defense and airspace surveillance represent a key value to national security, and we are honored Qatar decided to entrust them to the systems produced by Finmeccanica.” (9Colonne)
