28 July, 2015 – The famous tortellini and mortadella from Bologna, Parma ham and Parmesan cheese, famous wines such as Albana, Sangiovese and Lambrusco, the vinegar of Modena and its tasty salami… These famous delicacies are known all over the world, but Peru is about to know them a little better. In Lima it is now possible to buy in a supermarket a typical product from Emilia Romagna, thanks to the “Deliziando” and “America Latina” projects. Sponsored by Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, the projects promote the participation of agri-food sector companies in the collaboration with the Peruvian supermarket chain Supermercados Peruanos SA. The chain, part of the Interbank Group, is on the market with two different brands: Vivanda and Plaza Vea. The initiative works for the inclusion of regional retail products on the shelves of 8 Vivanda stores for 2 weeks during the second half of 2015. Vivanda is the Supermercados Peruanos SA brand that sells medium-high quality products.
