Abuja – The President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari, for the first time since his inauguration took place in May, met in Abuja with Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi. The meeting gave Descalzi the opportunity to update the President on Eni’s ongoing activities in the country aimed at the development of the oil and gas resources. Buhari was particularly pleased with the progress made in offshore activities. Descalzi also confirmed Eni’s commitment to the development of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, where the Italian company has been present since 1962.
