6 August, 2015 – Food waste can generate excellent dishes, a gain not only for the palate but also for the finances of a family, of a country and the entire planet. The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany, in collaboration with ENIT and EXPOMilano2015, plans to create two events that will take place in Berlin (August 15) and Frankfurt (September 11) on the subject of food waste and nutrition. The program in the German capital will focus on a culinary presentation and a buffet, prepared with food otherwise destined for scrap, in the famous covered market of Marheineke Markthalle, a multicultural Berlin landmark to buy, eat and drink at the many stands. Some 300 representatives from the world of tourism, tour operators and travel agents, as well as the visiting public are expected to attend. At the entrance of the event, there will be a desk where the public can obtain more information on ticket sales for Expo, on ENIT and the portal Italia.it. In Frankfurt, there will be a cooking competition that will feature an Italian and a German chef from two renowned restaurants in the city, which will be judged by a jury of three opinion leaders in the catering industry and two representatives of the public.
