Houston – “For NASA, it’s convenient to have an experienced astronaut with two missions behind him, because in the next mission there will be astronauts on the first flight. And so, they’re confiding a lot in me. ButI’m not a superhero, I’m a normal man. An average Italian. I’m not fixated with working out, I eat normally, I have my concerns,” declared Paolo Nespoli, 58 years old, on the eve of the long training session in Houston, ahead of the 2017 trip that will take Italian astronaut to the International Space Station for the third time. In an interview with La Repubblica, he explained “I will be responsible for training, the European module, and the Japanese module, since on board there will be no Japanese astronauts.” (9Colonne)
