New York – The people who live on planet Earth can develop and find well-being, despite natural and material resources being limited: the key to finding models for sustainable development is in the scientific laws that govern nature. This is the argument put forward in the book published in the US by a group of scientists who identify themselves as the “Club di Siena” and include two researchers from the University of Siena, Professor Simone Bastianoni and Dr. Federico Maria Pulselli, as well as professors from the universities of Copenhagen and Maryland in the United States. The book, published by Routledge, is entitled “Flourishing Within Limits to Growth”, and demonstrates how humanity could change our economic system using nature as a model, with its ability to use resources efficiently, and reuse and recycle them, without sacrificing prosperity or well-being.
