Djibouti – In August, the Italian Army Base Support (BMIS) completed a Civil Military Cooperation project for the donation of food in favor of different institutions and organizations working in the social sector around the city of Djibouti, like the Notre Dame de Boulaos School, the School of La Salle, the Franciscan School and the Caritas center of Djibouti. These organizations work in the broader “Street children” program, providing assistance to orphaned or destitute children. Among the beneficiaries of the donation there is also the National Orphanage of Daryel, the only national institute connected to local hospitals that take care of abandoned children. (9Colonne)
