3 September, 2015 – Norway called him the moment he graduated university, and he spent the summer building an aerostat in the role of “control engineer” for an international team of nine people. Marzo Tranzatto, 25-year-old from Latina, graduated in Robotic Engineering from the University of Pisa, was selected among 250 candidates for the “Zeppaloon” project. Sponsored by the Norwegian Kongsberg, each year there are summer internships open to students, giving them the opportunity to work in a big company. The project ended on August 14 with a final demonstration that took place in the “Carpus” center of Kongsberg. “We all had a different background and we learned from each other to solve different types of problems – said Marco upon his return – The team consisted of six engineering students (control, mechanical and design), a physicist, a mathematician and an economics and management student. We had to build an aerial vehicle using new technologies, such as printing components in 3D. The team represented the University of Pisa, the University of Trondheim, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Glasgow, the Olin College of Boston and the University of Toulouse.
