The 10 lectures are in Italian (with translation into Czech) and the deadline for registration expires on September 25. Classes include: “Shades of Yellow” (a visual analysis of white wines) and “Shades of Red” (a visual analysis of red wines that will also deal with red vinification, maturation, aging, and the use of barrels), “Let’s party” (with a focus on Italian bubblies, from those created with the classic method to the Charmat and sparkling methods), “Broom Petals”, with a tasting of white wines, and “Cloves and Cinnamon” with red wine tastings. But there will also be an entire session devoted to pairing food and wines, “cheese and pepper and a glass of Merlot.” The last session will feature a dinner, “From Friuli to Campania through Abruzzo”, and it will be an evening to highlight the characteristics and quality of Italian vines and wines. The course will be held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague (Chapel, Šporkova 14) and was promoted by the ICI in collaboration with Il Mulino (Rytířská 22). At the end of the course, participants will receive a participation certificate.
