Haifa – Nine Italian films will be screened in Israel as part of the 31st edition of the International Film Festival in Haifa (Haiff) (from September 26 to October 5). Italy will be represented by films that were enormously successful with audiences and critics alike, namely “Il racconto dei racconti” by Matteo Garrone, “Anime Nere” by Francesco Munzi, “Vergine giurata” by Laura Bispuri, “Antonia” by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, “Nessuno si salva da solo” by Sergio Castellitto, “Meraviglioso Boccaccio” by the brothers Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, and “Sangue del mio sangue” by Marco Bellocchio. The program also includes a tribute to two institutions of Italian cinema, with the screening of “Amarcord” by Federico Fellini and “Rocco and His Brothers” by Luchino Visconti. The Italian participation at the event was organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa. (9colonne)
