New York – To strengthen its expansion in markets outside Europe, Conserve Italia has signed a commercial alliance with Colavita, a Molise company that holds the absolute leadership of sales of Italian extra virgin olive oil in the US. The agreement provides that Conserve Italia use the Colavita USA distribution network to market the Cirio tomato brand. Colavita USA has a wide distribution network throughout North American as well as two operational offices, a main one in New Jersey and one recently opened in California. “We aim for the strong evocative power of the combination of two traditionally Italian products, such as tomato and extra virgin olive oil, which are among the most popular and demanded by American consumers,” says Cesare Concilio, Director of Foreign Trade for Conserve Italia. “Currently, Conserve Italia’s turnover in North America is approximately €1 million, of which €500.000 related to the Cirio brand, with a 50% increase in just two years.” (9colonne)
