Doha – There’s only a week before the beginning of the Aiba World Boxing Championships scheduled in Doha (Qatar) October 5-18. Five Italians will participate in the event: Vincenzo Picardi (52 Kg), Francesco Maietta 56 Kg, Domenico Valentino (60 Kg), Vincenzo Mangiacapre (64 Kg, pictured here by Ferraro-GMT), and Salvatore Cavallaro (75 Kg). Valentino Manfredonia, will not participate in the World Boxing Championships due to an injury, and the fact that he has already qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The competing Italians, by reaching the top three positions in their respective categories, will have a chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in this World Championship. (9Colonne)
