October 27, 2017) After the Cersaie International Exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings held in Bologna, the activities to promote the Italian ceramic industry in the world of international architecture continue in Chicago, with a final workshop that wants to create a network between North American architects and Italian companies. The Italian Trade Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies has organized a 2-day workshop in collaboration with Confindustria Ceramica. The event involves the construction of B2B meetings between ceramic companies and important architecture firms in North America (United States and Canada) during the Chicago Architecture Biennial. The biennial, which opened in October, will see a full calendar of cultural events related to architecture and interior design that will extend until the month of January 2016 with art installations, thematic exhibitions, conferences and workshops. After the workshop yesterday (on “Italian ceramic tiles” at The Langham Hotel in Chicago), for today there is scheduled a second initiative: a meeting between the promoter of Italian companies present at the workshop, with four leading architectural firms in Chicago (Perkins & Will, IA Interior Architects, SOM Skidmore, Owings & Merill, and HOK). Seventeen companies from Confindustria Ceramica are participating in the initiative: Altaeco, Atlas Concorde, Caesar, Casalgrande Padana, Cisa Ceramiche, Cooperativa Ceramica Imola, Emilceramica, Fincibec, Fioranese, Florim, Mipa, Ornamenta, Lea Ceramiche, Refin, Settecento, Simas and Target.
