Luxembourg – The Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Benedetto Della Vedova, is in Luxembourg today to represent the Italian government at the 12th Ministerial ASEM meeting, chaired by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. “Working together for a sustainable and secure future” is the theme of the Luxembourg summit, which follows the 10th ASEM Summit held in Milan in 2014. Speaking at the session on “Climate change, 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management”, Della Vedova highlighted Italy’s commitment in the fight against climate change, in view of the Paris COP21, which represents one of the test benches for Europe and Asia’s capacity to converge towards common solutions for global challenges.
