Cairo – “Starting today, Alitalia is imposing a strengthening of security measures for the Cairo airport. Alitalia has ordered the suspension of freight and mail services and will no longer accept luggage traveling without its owner. Alitalia recommends its passengers departing from Cairo airport to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure, due to the extra security measures in place. Alitalia reaffirms that it doesn’t operate any scheduled or charter flights to the Sinai peninsula, nor does it fly over the Sinai desert or any war zones,” explains a note by the airline. (9Colonne)
