November 18th, 2015 – To celebrate the twenty years from the Dayton peace accords, the Italian Cultural Month in Bosnia MIK 2015 “this year has dedicated a special space to solidarity centered around Italian cuisine, manifesto of Italian tradition and culture in the world. Sponsored by the Interreligious Council of Bosnia, chef Cristian Broglia will offer a taste of Italy to the poor of all faiths, but also a lesson on cooking and good nutrition. The event will be followed directly by the central events of the Mik: the Farnesina Collection and the concert ‘Notes of Peace’ with the Trieste’s Teatro Verdi, on November 20-21,” with these words Ambassador Ruggero Corrias presented” Italy in the kitchen”, an initiative organized under the Mik by the Italian Embassy in Sarajevo and the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, in collaboration with the Alma-International School of Italian cuisine. The series of events with Chef Cristian Broglia began yesterday with a training course in contemporary Italian cuisine by professional chefs of the Gastro ID Institute at the premises made available by the Parliamentary Assembly. Tomorrow, with the sponsorship of the Inter-religious Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the chef will cook an all-Italian dinner for 40 poor of every religious denomination, at the Jewish Community of Sarajevo. The restaurant “Quattro Stanze della Signora Safija” will also host Broglia tonight and tomorrow night. Finally, on November 20 the chef – who will also host a special TV segment by BHRT – will give a presentation on good nutrition with a tasting of healthy finger food for children enrolled in the Valter soccer school. Mik continues with the opening, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Dayton Agreements, of the exhibition Masterpieces from the Farnesina Collection “scheduled at 6:30pm at the National Gallery of Sarajevo, in the presence of the Italian Minister for Arts and Culture and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, and the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, Adil Osmanovic.
