November 27th, 2015 – Capturing light in a work of art is possible. Francesco Candeloro knows this well, as his exhibition “Altre luci” captures landscapes, views and people through light and color. The exhibition makes a stop for the first time in the Netherlands, where it will open on Saturday, December 5 at the Red Stamp Art Gallery in Amsterdam. The Venetian artist will present 5 works and 6 photographic pieces that are the result of an original and personal research that shows the intensity of light / color as the medium par excellence, and the transparency of Plexiglas materials. For the Dutch exhibition – reports the website of the Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam – Candeloro has created and dedicated to the northern capital a specific piece: “Sospensioni di Luce (Amsterdam)”, a new work in colored Plexiglas, which belongs to a series that has come to life from the artist’s travels: the artist draws, cutting with laser, the different skyline of the cities he visits made from photographic visual notes captured “on the road”.
